The only issue I have with him is that the end of his weapon doesn't connect with the base unless you kind of make it/bend it. Obviously his overall character design isn't as fancy and doesn't have as many details as Lio's, but he's still pretty cool. His face looks absolutely adorable and very much like, well, Lio's face. I also quite like the grainy feeling of the gradient in his hair. The highlights of his hair and the Burnish Flame really add to the coloring details on his outfit and give him a more dynamic feeling. I do like that they didn't forget his earring though. The back of his collar is painted very sloppily and I suppose you will never see that either if you display him normally, but it is worth mentioning. It is forgivable since you can't really see the severity of it from a normal perspective/a normal distance but I took it with a grain of salt. Unfortunately the ones on his legs are little wonky and out of shape. The little details like his belts are all there and most of them are pretty well made. From afar he looks fantastic - the only flaws are in the details. I think Lio's figure and whole color palette turned out great. I might go ahead and build custom bases for them since the bases are the one thing I really don't like about the Pop Up Parade line. Turquoise for Lio and the same thing, just a bit more drawn into the length and in yellow, for Galo. Their bases are what you'd expect when you're familiar with the PUP figures - plain hexagons with color. I didn't cut it just to be safe and it's really not a big deal but yeah just something I noticed when unpacking them.

One of the tapes was positioned right above Lio's head. The only thing that bothered me was that I have the tendency to (gently) cut the tape that "holds" the blister together.

There wasn't any additional plastic or wraps that covered them. The figures are fully assembled (apart from their base) in the box and were packed safe & sound in their plastic blisters.

This is what they look like without the box: I'll keep the backgrounds though and see if I can do something cool with them. I'm gonna be honest here I will throw the boxes away because I can't be bothered to keep these plain boxes. Let's start with the boxes! They both come in the usual Pop Up Parade box which is see-through but with flames as their paper-background that you can take out. I got them from AmiAmi for 3.300 ¥ each which seems to be the consistent price for Pop Up Parade figures and honestly, the quality for that price is still amazing to me. As you might have already guessed this is very image heavy so beware! Pictures except for the one at the end are not edited. I've seen a lot of people struggle with the decision whether they want to buy the Pop Up Parade figures of Galo Thymos & Lio Fotia from Promare, so I thought I'd do a little review. Hello fellow collectors, I hope your year so far has been going well!
